2001 4 spoke steering wheel control module.which one

hi all,
my first A8, and totally smitten.
starting to sort out a couple of jobs.
have an issue with the stereo buttons on the steering wheel.
it take about 5 mins for the buttons to 'light up' when the headlights are on and than about 30 minutes for the functions to work.
i have removed the wheel, and 'cleaned' the connectors etc. no joy.
could it be the control module?
1) where are they
2) any part numbers?
am i looking at the right module on ebay below?
