Default Best £10 I've spent (today).

Not being a smoker or wanting the fiddling boy child to burn himself when we're not as vigilant as we should be, I bought these. I know others have before, too. I've wanted to get a few of these for a while now. Was in Audi Warrington pricing up rubber floor mats, (£48 for the fronts, £40 rears) anyway.

£5.11 ea.

1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

I regularly find myself plugging in a USB dual charger or single charger for customers in the rear socket but has anyone come across a nice sleek looking black one that doesn't get too hot when it's left plugged in?

In the front one I've got permanent USB's and an LPG controller guage in place of the cig lighter socket which can be covered back over when not in use/ needed to be seen

In short. No, I haven't.

I have toyed with the idea of gluing/securing a flush black USB adaptor in the outlet. But then you're limited to USB only. Not ideal.

On a side note, while mooching around a D4 at Audi today I noticed it had 3 cigarette lighters/outlets in the rear alone!

I've got one of those, that exact model IIRC.
There is a problem in the D2 in the way the buttons on it can potentially catch on slots in the socket. You have to be careful inserting it and chose a "safe" orientation.
