s8 (2000) service 70,000 klm/43,000 miles

i have just hit 70,000 klm, and the service light is on!
what exactly does audi do to the car when it services it?
my oil has been topped up 600 miles ago, but the brake pedal trembles when i press it at a speed of around 100 miles/hour.
i am on a trip outside of the uk, and would like to plan where to leave the car and have it sorted out.
