Default MMI Update Fun

Afternoon All
Updated my MMI with the 55.7.0 update earlier this week, as I am hoping to get an AMI for the ipod in the near future.
Everything appeared to have gone through OK kept the engine running and the system rebooted fine.
However I have lost the Battery Meter as anticipated, but also the two trip menus on the MMI although they still work on the dash. My TV now has no sound and whilst it gets a picture clearly there is just static noise. Never had this issue before.

The CD changer doesn't play MP3 CDrom's although it didn't before should this have been changed by the update?

The bluetooth phone seems unchanged and still have to be paired every time when starting the car, and the phone book doesn't work still.

Apart from 3d mapping I haven't seens anything else of use and no additional Bose sound controls are showing.

I have been told this may be a component protection mode issue and that a reset will sort this. I have today visited the local Audi dealers, (after giving up on them ever calling me back and waiting two days..things haven't changed from when I last had an Audi in 04 then ).
The service staff don't seem to know anything apart from how busy they are and they suggested this will take 1 hour and maybe more depending whats wrong!! They said it was the Sat Nav, but I pointed out that works fine
One hour seems a tad excesive to me but I guess they only work in complete hours
Does anyone know of an independant in the midlands who can manage an MMI reset? and put back the missing parts of my system.
Blimey they don't make updating these things easy do they.
Cheers
Glyn
