Gala Speed signal wire???

There isn't a gala wire in my prefacelift a8....so can I connect to the speed output signal on the instrument cluster for this....

Yes. That's where the Gala feed comes from anyway, from the speedo transducer on the left of your front differential cover.

Cool...already have a feed coming down from the instrument cluster connected to the speed output signal....so should be rock n roll in that department....
