Default Gearbox

Hi guys has anybody got a exploded diagram for a 2001 S8 gearbox I want to see what components are where on it as I've a leak above the front drivers side diff ? Gold oil which would suggest gearbox fluid !

I thought the trans fluid was purple and diff oil is gold.

Diff should be seperate oil.. and are the diff seals not a weak point?

The gearbox oil is gold I think diff oil is aswell I'm not to sure but it's deffo leaking gold oil above the front diff ?

No the gearbox oil is a real golden colour I'm not sure about diff oil reffro

Adrian looking at that diagram would you agree that gearbox oil can get through the rubber seal and into the diff casing ?Suggesting the seal is u/s ?

Having had all three output shaft seals replaced in the last 13 months, I would hazard a guess you have the same problem now. If so, it not a big deal, only a £130 job.

Yes, had one of mine done at the last service, not expensive (compared to the rest). Not sure which TBH.
I knew something was dripping, but wasn't sure what.

As it was landing on the exhaust and stinking I'd guess the one going rearwards....
