Connect 2 Thoughts

Hi, has anybody used the Connects 2 USB interface with the RNS-D nav plus unit in 2002 and earlier A/S8's?

I'm keen to have access to all my music via ipod/memory card while keeping the car oem as possible.

Any thoughts on the Connect 2 systems?
