S8 v10 Remap

Hi all,

I'm considering a remap for my S8 D3. I don't need more power as it has more than I'll ever need, rather more torque delivery at lower revs helping daily driveability.

Can anyone recommend a reputable mapper in the midlands area? Although I'm willing to travel for anyone highly recommended.

I may be wrong, but my understanding is that the scope to remap a normally aspirated engine is far more limited than it is if you have a turbocharged engine.

I know mate. It's not more power I'm after, I want the car to put its power down differently to standard.

I have to agree, NA engines like the ours do not respond to a remap and are a pointless waste of money.

Forced induction however is a different kettle of fish.

Your money would be better spent on a decoke as its likely to be losing power by now.

As soon as I have a garage I will be stripping mine and making her breath the way she did when it was new.

De coke? Would this be something I should look at after only 26k miles on clock? Is this the Ed China engine flush thing?

Na the Ed china thing can do nothing for the carbon build up in FSI engines.

Didn't know your engine is on such low miles, so would probably be fine.

If you do go down the route of a remap it would be interesting to see a before and after dyno run.
