Meet aftermath no 2!
At the Raffle on the Saturday night I won a USB stick that was suppose to have ELSAWIN and ECTA on but all it has is something called VMware or something like that. Am I missing something?

My first engine swap after cambelt failure. 1996 4.2 A8SQ - Ming Blue. 178k on a cambelt! Trader's 8. Delivered to A8Parts at Lifex. 2003 2.8 A8SQ - powder blueish. Fill in for a while. Sold on. 1998 1.8T A4 Avant FWD. Ming Blue (there's a theme here), PEX for the 97 S8. And a list of non VAG going back 40 years before I saw the light.

Yes. VMware is a virtual computer. The other stuff is probably inside it - you need some instructions from whoever put it together.
 In contrast I won a bottle of Royal Salute whisky - no instructions required.

Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

I would expect vmware to be the virtual machine software, which you can then install on a windows 7 or 8 pc and if it's been fully configured with the software you need it may well be there too. Depends how big the files are? Etka and Elsawin are HUGE! 30GB for Etka alone, 48GB for Elsawin

VMWare
The VMWare application is tiny in comparison to ElsaWin. Not sure about ETKA as I don't know what that is but I've seen it mentioned numerous times and normally in Adrian's posts.
I suspect you may have the VMWare installation package as an executable setup file or similar, and the ElsaWin/ETKA may be on what's called a .VDI (virtual disk image) file. If it's been done properly, then the VDI will comprise a computer operating system such as Windows XP/7 etc. with ElsaWin already installed. You would install VMWare, attach the .vdi file and then 'boot' the OS from within your current OS. I've done something similar in the past for HPsauce. Feel free to send me a msg if you get stuck - I'll even talk you through it over the 'phone if need be.

How big is the stick and how big is the data on it?
It could be the VM where you just run it and it has Windows XP installed with ELSA and ETKA installed. so you can run from any machine.

Generally the process would be
Install vmware onto your own computer, copy the entire contents of the memory stick to a new folder on your laptop/pc Open vmware player and then import the contents of that folder, then press the play button. Another copy of windows will load within a program window which has etka and elsawin already installed.
