Just back from a short break in Scotland which consisted of a drive up to Monifieth on Monday (A1 on a bank holiday, bad idea), three pleasant days and evenings spent there. Golf in the sunshine all three mornings then a drive over to Blantyre on Thursday afternoon to stay with other friends. Another game of golf in the sunshine at East Kilbride on Friday, a day out (inside obviously, it was rain and sleet by Saturday, Scotland eh?

) then a steady drive home this morning.
467 miles covered with a MPG average of 21, I don't expect much more really, and I wasn't driving with economy in mind, it was nice just to get a decent run out in the S8. By the way, the M74 is a lovely road to travel on, but why do the majority insist on sitting in the middle lane??

I even saw one approaching an articulated lorry, which was in the inside lane obviously, and they moved out to the outer lane to go past it!! I know spray may have been a factor as it was raining heavily but surely that's what windscreen wipers are for?
