(Maybe I'll just open up my cleaned up old one and check?)
OK, I've done that one mine, I'll put the details in the other F125 thread, but the relevant bits are:
The 5 sectors from the inside outwards are pins 1, 2, 5, 3 and 4. And the 5 corresponding wires are not in that order....
So the segments with discolorations are pins 2 and 3 which are largely to do with identifying PRN.

1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

The refurbished converter from JPAT arrived:

Filled with oil and installed in the gearbox:

And back on the engine courtesy of the machine:

I've made a lot of tools in my time, either to solve problems or to make life easier. The engine and gearbox machine makes life so much easier when doing this one very specific job that it has to be the best of the bunch. When the two are lined up well, they can be joined with a push from one finger

I have no doubt you perfected the tools and procedures, MJ
As I am working on my own car atm, I look at your past projects to get a better grasp of what I am trying to do.
Removing the engine from the car like you are able to do, must make every small detail so much easier. Even if I understand that is quite an undertaking.
And thanks again, for every workshop post you make

"I learned a new way of refilling 5HP gearboxes the other day - pump it in through the oil cooler return I got 6 litres in to it this way, compared to the usual 3 from underneath. This should mean it is very close to normal level on first start and just needs a little bit topping up once its up to temperature, or possibly a little letting out".

That's the way I'm gonna try doing mine the next time I do it. I'll be trying it at the oil cooler end of the pipe though.

Engine back in:

Hopefully I'll get it all buttoned up and running tomorrow and see if all this effort paid off...

Great work

Still missing a couple of cylinders though. Thought you might have fixed that before putting it back in

I almost did, but I don't have any working 5hp24s!

At the moment the plan is to get her in perfect stock condition and put her up for sale. If she sells for the price I want (now need after all this work ) then so be it. If she doesn't then there is a pair of rotary mufflers in her future

I think that’s how Mackies do it. They flush the warm oil through the oil cooler via their pumpy-squirty machine which has a very fine filter.
