Well after pampering my a8 with all sorts of stuff I have decided to buy a facelift. So now I have two choices either sell the car whole or sell bits off it and scrap the car.
Now i m not sure which would be best so thought I d make an ad, and let others decide for me It is currently 4.2 pf a8 sport with lpg...it has the following extras Full black leather sport recaro interior...armrests are fine and work properly Rear Electric Blinds RNS E with bluetooth Chromed side mirror cover Folding electric auto dimming side mirrors (dimming mirrors need replacing) and auto-dimming driver's mirror Servotronic 20" FE wheels they are d3 9j versions with 275 35 20 at the back and 255 35 20 at the front Powerflex Sports backbox exhaust Recently replaced MAF HID's The engine is strong...did a compression test other day and all was fine...reading 11 to 12 on the gauge...which is within limits.... The bad bits are the lower grills are missing from the front bumper, there is slight scrape on the rear bumper, and few scratches on the paint work. But no dents. The mileage is 156k with only service history since I have owned it as the previous owner had passed away and his wife didnt know where the documents were....I have certificate for lpg system which is a prins... I want 2.5k for the whole car....or I will break it for bits and scrap it.... Let me know if you are interested in bits or the whole car Ranj 07525747277 |

If it was me I'd probably remove the RNS-E/bluetooth and the wheels and keep those for a facelift car - you're unlikely to find a facelift one that's got either, let alone both!
Try and sell as a runner - the LPG will appeal to plenty of people who fancy a V8 without the running costs and it isn't worth trying to transfer a kit to another car. Stick it on Pistonheads under the A8 and LPG sections for maximum exposure. Then sit back and wait for the right facelift to crop up - take it you want an A8 rather than S8? Off topic, but is it OK to run staggered setup like that with same size wheels front and rear? Always assumed you'd only do that if you ran less width on the front wheels? Adrian |

Just thought, with the neat job you did installing the RNS-E it probably won't have enough meat around it left to fit in a facelift console without trying to find a deceased one to rob the faceplate from?

All that work, money and love gone into A8 I would have stuck with it. I also prefer look of PF but I might be bit biassed because I own PF. And it's LPG so cheaper to run.
Anyway if you are getting rid of it then I think it's probably best to change back old wheels and remove RNS-E and sell the whole running car unless you want to get stuck with lot of bits of car for years.

thanks for the advice guys....
you are right take the bits I can use and sell the rest whole...to be honest for what it has given me doesnt owe me much at all.... It has been an excellent car for me....and a pleasure to own...especially tonite when i was coming home in the snow.... |
