Default Anyone visiting the Owners Meet receive an NIP

Anyone else unlucky enough to recieve an NIP (Speeding Ticket) in the post following this weekends meet?

Apparently I was doing 35mph in a 30 zone. No excuse but I remember seeing the speed camera van parked down a side road in the distance and looking at my speedo and sat nav which both said I was doing 30.

Ask to see the evidence of calibration. Seriously, if you have reason to doubt this, write and explain just what you said in the post above and ask to see the calibration records. There are legal requirements to calibrate these things at given intervals - a process that is not often adhered to, especially when money is tight.

Oh dear. My brother just got one today too, 37 apparently, but he also thinks he wasnt going that fast. He remembers the van parked just by the railway crossing, he even mentioned it on the day, but he also thought he was doing about 30 so there was nothing to worry about.

Sheeeeeeeeeeet, not had one, yet... I tend to stick to 30 MPH limits but sounds like the system calibration could be messed up. Can't work out where this would have been though as don't know the area.

It was on the main road from Yam just prior to the railway crossing.

Wow, not a great end to a fun day. With two guys who are certain they were doing 30 mph, it would definitely be a good idea to question the accuracy of the equipment they monitor speed with.

Good luck guys!
