19" multispoke polished wheel sorting out
I have the 19" wheels as seen in the picture below on my D3, they are polished/lacquered with the dark grey painted spokes.
I like this look, but want I don't like is what I have on the back. The lacquer has been damaged and water ingress has caused the wheel to corrode. I am not looking to full refurb, just really want to improve the cosmetics. Tell me if you think this would work. Use wet/dry sandpaper to sand back the damaged area back to the alloy. Use a very fine grade paper lastly to try and get some finish back. Lastly apply some lacquer, either by brush or spray can. I appreciate it won't be OEM, but anything is better than what the passenger side rear looks like. Looks like a job for the summer (if we get one).
