Default Illuminated door sills

Was on a russian A8 forum this afternoon. One member had photos of illuminated 'Audi Exclusive' door sills. I couldn't find out if these were genuine or aftermarket. However, the owner was a little disappointed with their light output. Nice mod in my opinion

Scott and/or Marcin will be along shortly on this subject. They've made a great custom mod:

They're like rocking horse poop to get hold of, and many of the transformers were dodgy on them.. I retrofitted a set to my PF D3, but they worked a couple of times and died. My FL D3 had a set already fitted and they looked great at night, but were only ever really intended to light up the Audi logo rather than be a light source as such.

They are nice - even Hyundais and KIAs have them now.
I also heard a couple of years ago on forums that they were very unreliable too and Audi were selling them cheap and have now run out (discontinued part).

That's probably why I couldn't find the part number.

Hate to think how many are in the bin when they could of been saved with a new tranny quite easily or just redo the whole light

Look really nice though I do admit.
