D3 digital speedo change to kph
I have changed digital speedo on the DIS from mph to kph for driving on continent by changing coding for region in instrument cluster but it's always just a temporary change. If I cycle ignition it is back to mph. The coding is saved and fuel usage stays in l/100km but the digital speedo always switches back to mph next time ignition is turned on.
Does anyone know how to make a permanent switch until I want to change it again as it is a bit of inconvenience to change the coding every time.

Can this not be changed via MMI too? Seem to think I’ve done it that way once...

I had a look around in MMI but cannot find anything, could be down to version and firmware.

I have a distant memory that it only worked on FL clusters, possibly wide DIS based? I know I wouldn't make this work on my 2006

I already have wide cluster, I think the older non wide clusters does not show digital speed at all.
If I change region coding to Germany for example digital speedo change to km/h, next time I turn ignition on it's back to mph but fuel consumption is still in l/100km and odometer reading is still in km

Found it in the MMI in the end, no need to change coding.
It's in: Setup Settings (right top function button) Measurement units
