Speakers
So
The D3 I have bought has a duff speaker. Up the car just has box standard audio, no bose or B&O but looking online Bose speakers are cheap and easy to get hold of. Will it matter if I was to say replace the 2 front door speakers with the Bose ones instead? Thanks in advance. Tom

I wouldn't.
 IIRC Bose speakers often have a different impedance, e.g. 4ohms vs 8ohms. No doubt someone who knows more can advise.

Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

I know that Bose usually use 3 ohm speakers in their other setups, but I've never researched the A8 system.
Bose are very good at making a system integrate well to sound good but each individual component could easily be bettered. I'd recommend buying a set of good aftermarket speakers. Factory speakers sometimes have their impedance written on them, so you can buy a set that match.

Theoretically, I say yes.
But, are you sure that two speakers are dead? Could it be a driver problem? (Driver being speaker audio driver, not yourself )
