Default Wanted - D2 S8 front upright for Brembos

Hi all, Does anyone have a driver's side D2 S8 front alloy upright for Brembos please? I just discovered the annoying suspension knock I've been trying to identify is a loose upper arm, and when I tightened the pinch bolt a bit more the upright cracked I think the hole must have distorted like Sergey's did.

Part number is 4D0407254A. There are none on ebay UK, Germany or US, or allegro.pl. I can't even pinch one from the FE as that has the steel uprights.

With the cat rattling as well, its not been a very good D2 week so far

Can't say at the moment. Depends whether I can either find another upright or repair the broken one.

Good luck trying to find one. I had issues with both of mine last year. One cracked like yours which I had welded up, and the other one went oval shaped which had a sleeve machined to fit.

They've been fine in the 9 or so months since fitting but I may switch to steel ones in the future.

The sleeve idea worked then? Thats handy to know. Was the upright machined over-size and then the sleeve pressed in, or something along those lines?

I guess I may end up doing something similar. For now I'm probably going to have to borrow both the steel uprights from the FE, assuming they will come apart

Yes, the sleeve idea has been fine so far....I'm always wary though if I hit a big bump in the road.

The engineering company basically did what mentioned above. I'm not sure if they used aluminium or steel, but the old boy who did it was confident it would not give any issues.

If you go the steel upright root do you need to change hubs, bearings and sensors?
