Default Sold & Gone

I've sold quite a few cars over the years, in fact loads of them, but rarely felt misgivings at seeing one go.
I am glad to have completed the sale of my D2 S8 this evening, but also somewhat sad What a great motor.
Her new owner seems pretty clued up, knows about A8 Parts and will hopefully join us here, and perhaps give me the chance to see my old car at some future Audi event.
Anyway I'm glad to say she's in good hands. Top guy

By the way. Can anyone tell me why my selling thread is 'Closed'

Default I know the feeling!

Fortunately, mine went to a very good home too

So what are the plans for replacement?

and answer to your question : because it's sold?

Hi Clive
I've replaced her with another S8, but a D3 this time. Lots and lots of toys and very different to the D2. Fun but less involving.
Here's some picts

Default Very nice!!

I'm still waiting for the D3 shape to grow on me but the S8 is something else - looks awesome and I bet the sound is 'soothing'...

Very nice D3 S8 (would love one also), but I bet the insurance will be a killer.

Cheers. I renewed insurance on my D2 S8 on Aug 13th and changed the policy to the D3 S8 for no extra cost. They are both group 20. I guess you can do the same damage with either and from an insurers point of view is there much between them for parts. And it's the same lunatic driving them too

Soothing! Kinda. Had my grand kids (gulp) in it on Saturday. Overtook a car, which involved kicking down a couple of gears and opening her up. When I pulled back in, the (almost) two year old let out a great cheer and gave a round of applause
I guess it gets kinda theatrical back there, what with the shove in the back and all that noise.
She's a speed freak in the making
