1996 4.2 A8SQ - Ming Blue. 178k on a cambelt! Trader's 8. Delivered to A8Parts at Lifex.
2003 2.8 A8SQ - powder blueish. Fill in for a while. Sold on.
1998 1.8T A4 Avant FWD. Ming Blue (there's a theme here), PEX for the 97 S8.
And a list of non VAG going back 40 years before I saw the light.

holy crap !! i have just payed A8 parts £80+postage for 2 new valves and when i changed them and started it up nothing happened like that they stayed the same even when the engine was started ??? what the hell ...... do i have a sized intake flap maybe ?

will this fault throw any engine management codes over time, or just feel like the engine's a bit short of torque?

No engine management light, easiest way is to take off the main front engine cover and check.

Guy (I got your PM btw will reply later) all you need to buy is the metal replacement connecting rod that breaks usually. Its easy to fit, saying that it took me an hour and I still couldn't get it on. Ben put it on in under a minute for me

well thats that now bloody thing i feel deflated and fed up now just stripped it all down to follow the guide that was on the link and now i need a new inlet manifold yes car feels low on power not a great deal but in the high revs it lacks that extra pull that it once had, oh and amar by the way i replaced the links you were on about quite some time ago and i did not think they were working properly then..... they were solid to get out i managed to get the insert out with the o ring on no problem but the plastic bit that fits inside that and rotates just fell to bits













going to fit the new breaks now instead il have to scout ebay for a new manifold gutted
