Detailing - the lazy way...
....gave it to a pro for a couple of days
 . Here's what is looks like afterwards. Not bad considering I've added 90k in miles over 4 years with little TLC, and after I've let numerous £5 car washes get their hands on it over the last two years  (PDF only, couldn't get the original photo to load - they're on Ian's website if you're really interested)

When the S8 stops being my daily driver one of the first things I'll be doing is booking it in for a paint correction detail near me - will have to go back to working for a living first though.....

Some follow ups on my post-detailed FE S8, now that I've had a chance to wash it myself and take some photos. (Been a bit busy with all sorts of stuff, so it took a while...).
Most of these are of the S8, tho' I couldn't resist including a couple of my Fiat Coupe as well - I know there's at least one other forum member with a soft spot for this car as well. Last edited by tintin; 22nd July 2012 at 04:17 PM.
