Gti International 2012 - Meet Report & Pics
Guys, i just wanted to say apologies i didnt get to speak to people today, i parked the car up about 8:30 before anyone arrived then straight over to set up a mates autojumble. I popped over a couple of times to get bits from the car but nobody was about.
I would have got over again this afternoon but the 1/4 mile accident happened 20ft in front of me and we got caught up in the area being cordoned off. Scary thing to see people getting thrown in the air like that. Hope nobody from here knows the injured or was involved. Hopefully next show i'll get to meet faces, Scott

Great day, sad at the end. Hope nobody was too badly hurt.
My best 1/4 mile times with a passenger and bad launch were 0-60 in 4.33 seconds 1/4 Mile in 12.77 Not too shabby.

A track prepared Leon lost control due to - it seems - a snap off steering wheel boss failing and the car swerved across the strip and through the plastic barrier and metal railings. Three people were bonneted and thrown clear of the car. Two were taken away by ambulance and one by air.
Very scary to see, i dont know if we'll ever know the outcome but when the car came to a stop i saw with my own eyes the steering wheel was detatched from the column in the drivers hands!
