Speeding in France
Just got back from a couple of days around Northern France and dipped into Belgium for a few hours too.
I estimate I was cruising at about 140kph for a while and got flashed by a static camera on a 110kph dual carriageway in France. Was wondering if the gendarmerie still don't bother chasing prosecution of us English pig dogs or if they now do after the 2013 legislation changes? Wasn't quite going as much as this chap in his R8 V10 from earlier in the year though! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ay-160mph.html

I go to france about 4 times a year, general concensus is that they still do not chase up foreign drivers even though rumours often circulate that they have started. i was flashed twice on my last trip and havent received any penaltys.
but to counteract this they run more patrols in certain places specially on the run in to ports like calais specifically to catch foreign drivers as its quite well known that the law doesnt pursue i have seen some really fast brits tearing down the last stretch. If you get caught by the patrols, the fine will be on the spot, and keep in mind that they have no rules about being visible, they are quite often hidden in bushes or behind trees with cars out of site.
