3.0 TDI Realistic MPG
Hello
I'm wondering if any A8 3.0 TDI owners can give me a reaslitic idea what mpg can be expected on a run? At present I'm doing just under 100 miles a day round trip to and from work. On the usual Auto trader is list 44mpg on a run but not sure how accurate this is. I'm not a fast driver happy to sit between 60-70 mph just not sure what realistic expectations are for an A8. Just done Plymouth to Bristol and got 41mpg.
Then Bristol to Birmingham and got 41mpg. Round town I'm getting 30mpg.

I would expect late 30's on a run at about 70 in my 3.0tdi.....when I'm trying I have got into the shallow 40's. Around town I get from mid twenties to low thirties....lots of traffic and it struggles into the twenties though.
It'll be interesting to see the variation. I would be considered gentle on the loud pedal as a rule.
