A4/A5 steering wheel

Has anyone ever heard of the later steering wheels (2012) from an A4/5 being fitted to an A8 and the buttons being successfully coded, including the extra sat nav info one?

I've wondered about this for a while, but have a '13 Black Edition A5 out at the minute while my car is in getting work done and the steering wheel is awesome. Its the flat bottomed version, but I'd even be happy with the non flat bottomed one, as per;



Or has anyone seen them being fitted to any other older Audis? B7 A4, C6 A6 etc just to see if the idea is possible?

Pondered the same thing too, but I'm not going to shell out £500 to find out.

From what i have seen the same style buttons but the pods with the same amount of buttons as our wheels can be made to work but not seen it done on a 8

Would love a flat bottom big paddle wheel for the S8

What have you seen it done in?

A non flat bottomed wheel can be had for £70 odd, then airbags around £180.

The flat bottomed one is fantastic though. This is the A5 I have at the minute;
