Default Parking sensors 😩

Hi this is my first post on here and I was just wondering if anyone could help me out.

The problem is whenever I go into reverse I get a loud beep for about 2 seconds but none of my sensors work. The little button on the dash for the sensors also blinks. If anyone knows the solution to this I would be very greatful .

Also my car is a 59 plate 3.0 tdi sport if that helps. Cheers

Sounds like a faulty sensor and/or connection.

Easiest way to find out which one is to use VCDS or a fault code reader.

Welcome to the forum.

To accurately diagnose what is wrong with your parking sensors you will need to connect vcds to the car.

I would not t waste my money on a generic code reader or a vcds clone if you want to take care of the car yourself properly.

If you consider audi will charge £100 quid each time you need to diagnose a fault the cost is quickly recovered by doing a few scans

In the short term there maybe a forum member that could help you out with scanning the car to narrow down your fault.

VCDS is software you download and install on a PC, typically a Windows laptop.
To run it you need a special cable. There are several dealers in the UK for these, see: http://www.ross-tech.com/distributors.html

The dealer/distributors will advise which version is suitable for you.

Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Barry, I purchased mine from Gendan. You'll need the HEX-USB+CAN Interface Package for your D3.
