Today I appear to have a fully functional sat nav again although I gather any issue relating to this is separate to the MMI update.
I don't have Bluetooth though. MMI tells me I have no phone, my sgs3 cant detect the Audi module. This seems to be related to the update as it was working fabulously beforehand. There doesn't appear anything i can do. I have tried pairing using two other phones but they aren't detecting the Audi unit, and of course the MMI says there's nothing installed anyway.
Could this be recoverable via Vagcom....or is the unit toast....has anyone got any experience .

I have tried running all the discs again, none of them are picking up anything to update. I must have attempted to run disc 2 about 10 times (in different slots on the changer as well) but no joy.

TIA
Adam

Well I am back in the car for the fourth time. Two attempts with cd2 in slot 1 of the changer did nothing. Then slot2 immediately picked up an update for Handyvorb2/MAIN6/App to upgrade rom 0 -1130. Fingers crossed.......

you need to turn it back on - it gets taken of as standard in the latest version as it was thought to be not that good

to turn it on you need access to the hidden menu

you only have access to the hidden menu if its been enabled in vagcom

try it though you may be lucky

You press CAR + SETUP at exactly the same time and hold for a few seconds until a green hidden menu appears

once your in go to car menu mask
then scroll down to find the battery meter
click it so a tick appears
scroll down and save

reboot using TEL - MAIN BUTTON and top right button

and it should be there

be careful using anything else in the hidden menu it can be dangerous

Alright, i have tried several times CAR + SETUP but nothing happens. Seems like i have to activate it with VCDS. I have VCDS interface but i don't know how to activate the hidden green menu.

Also i have seen that the parking sensor are being audible only but not showing on the display. Perhaps using same hidden green menu i can bring this feature to life as well.

Many thanks!

there is something about parking in there

under DIAG SETTINGS
then APK 0×01, 0x0B, 0x0C

these 2 settings - you can also do it in vagcom

APS (front) - activation parking sensors front of the vehicle. Equivalent adaptation module 07, channel 1, the value 4
APS (rear) - activation parking sensors in the rear. Equivalent adaptation module 07, channel 1, the value of the 8th
