Dashboard Squeek
This has now turned into the most annoying fault in the known world!
When driving and on most occasions there is a squeak, its coming from the back of the dash at a point between the Quattro badge and the centre console. Sounds like trim or a part of the dash rubbing on something in the bulkhead area. Any common problem areas I can look at or do I just empty a can of WD40 down there?

I'd probably use very fine talc rather than WD40.

Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

There is nothing common....
I had an S8 once that had an annoying rattle that was 'behind the dash' and despite stripping out most of it, got nowhere. Eventually it turned out to be a loose suspension arm, the noise just travelled that well it sounded like it was coming from the dash. If you are convinced its behind the dash, I guess you need to start removing bits at a time and going for a drive to see when it dissapears...
