Default SWMBO very upset

Came home a couple of days back to find Management at the edge of tears.
Whilst collecting the grandkids from school she had managed to utterly destroy some chaps wing mirror with our nearside mirror. Very lucky, this bloke was really understanding and told her not to worry and that he would obtain a replacement on fleabay and self fit it. I phoned him and agreed to pay for it.
Even luckier, it took me two attempts to find the damage on ours. Just a slight mark on the mirror back that will be sorted with a bit of T-Cut and elbow grease.

Thats good that the guy was understanding. It never does ANY party to an accident any good if it goes thru insurance.

Never thought about the dash cam.
Just had a look. No g change due to impact, therefore no "event" file recorded.
SWMBO says that she did not feel anything, just heard a loud noise, thought one of the school kids had thrown something.
The video shows that he was parked slightly nose out but was parked with his foot on the brake pedal.
Yes he was a nice bloke, and he was wearing a yellow high vis jacket.
No argument, definitely her fault.
Anyone with a spare 02 Astra offside mirror?

I can well believe management didn't feel anything, there's a lot of inertia in two tonnes of moving A8! Do you need a colour coded mirror or black one?

Mine is black, but honestly the mark is so slight.
It will polish out.

I mean for the Astra? I know a few Vauxhall people, Courtney Sports, could ask what's in their junk bin.

HeyMatt, that is above and beyond.
It looked white to me but I'll check with the "Very Nice Chap".
