Default Quick Question!!

OK - Driving home tonight and some stretches of the road are de-restricted single and dual carriageway.

So, first section - dual carriageway so do around 70 - next to no traffic.
Next section, single carriageway so drop to about 65.
Go through a 40 zone for half a mile - at 40.

Caught up a white S3 after the next roundabout and he is driving slow then floors it.

What would you do?

A. Floor it too.
B. Put your foot firm, but not to the floor
C. Just drive normally (as in not floor it).

Will tell you what happened next after a few responses (so wierd........)

Choose A. - Floored it and kept up with him (no extra aerials or SWMBO in my car).
Coming up to the next roundabout, he slowed down then went the same way I was going so floored it again - narrowly missing a car in the process, but I floored it too.

Came up to another roundabout where I had caught him up and again he floored it so I did too.

Thought he was out to have a blast.
Got stuck behind slower traffic (which he over took) then saw him waving his arm through the window so thought he was going so flashed him - at the next roundabout, he turned right and I went straight on - next thing I know he is right up my tail (I had never been right up his chuff during the drive!!

I floored it again and overtook a few cars, so did he - now at my turn off so indicated right, so did he so pulled into a large carpark as I thought he wanted a chat.

Pulled in and and pulled along side - looked across and he was shaking his fist and giving out expletives....

So got out of the car - he wanted to know what the f@ck I was doing racing him in my pile of ****e and wanted a fight..............

I told me that he was the one in front and flooring it and I was just keeping up - thought we were just 'mucking about'.

He went mental and told me if I said anything else it would be my last!!!!

Did think of tw@ting him but full of people around and didn't fancy GBH for this tosser.

He then drove off, still shaking his fist etc.

Think he was p@ssed off because my 'pile of ****e' had kept up with his

Or had I been a nob head??

Nope... Lots of guys out there think their S3/Focus ST/Golf R are the fastest things out there and how dare anyone have something faster that isn't a Porsche or supercar

I'm in full agreement with PsYcHe on this matter, some of the to$$ers & other non-cogniscenti in thier souped up econobox/ repmobiles, usually bedecked with tasteless bodykits, spoilers & a 6 inch tailpipe just cannot deal with being equalled or bettered (without resorting to driving like a pratt) or rather, battered by what they perceive to be a grandad's car

Cheers guys

If he didn't want a race, then he shouldn't have floored it....
