Default Opinions on this d2 s8 ?

Iv spotted this s8 on flebay and i was wondering what's everyones opinion on it?Iv messaged the seller and it sounds like its the gps antenna thats gone on the sat nav and one of the sensors are shot.He says he had the gearbox sump done as well.
So whats your opinions ?

Hi Gary. I would say that it's quite pricey at 3300 with those issues and especially with the ding in the rear wing. As the body is aluminium then it's more tricky to fix properly. The mileage is pretty reasonable for the year but gearboxes are a known issue and mine failed at 118k miles at high cost! As such I would have thought its at least a grand too pricey when you factor in the other faults that are present

if you ever want a quick easy trade valuation, just type in the reg number on webuyanycar.

That one, I'd say was £2.5k tops

With all respect Sarg I don't think webuyanycar will ever give anyone a realistic market value as they rely on paying people a much lower value than their car is actually worth so that they can make decent profits on selling them on. I would be amazed if they valued that car at anything over £500!!

I agree, but this is also how any trader is going to value your car in px, so IMO it's a good starting point.

I'm not saying it's not okay to pay more, but to do so with your eyes open and preferably with a known car when it comes to 8s.

yeah thats what i was thinking with regards to the a/s8's its much better to get a car thats known or well backed up with paperwork than a bit of a unknown quantity as otherwise it could get pretty expensive.Hopefully il get one soon so il keep my eye on the sale thread on here
