Default MMI>> CAR >> 'Oil Level' option greyed out

Morning all,

Since day 1 of having the car, all my Car/system settings in the MMI work, but Oil level has always been greyed out. Does anybody know why this is? I've had a 'low oil' warning come up on the speedo display before, so there must be a sensor still working.

The D3 simply has an 'enough/not enough' sensor rather than the one that works with the MMI. There are features in there that your can will never have as they're for stuff that was dropped into some of the S and RS models. You can turn it back off in the 'secret' menu.

Is a thread about fitting the measuring sender.03C 907 660 H
They are cheap on ebay and aliexpress, I have read in some places it works and some it doesn't.

When I had this sensor option on my A4's MMI it was stated somewhere that you wouldn't be able to read the oil level unless the car was on a level surface and the engine warm - I think from memory the engine also had to be off but ignition on. Anyways take a look at the manual as I'm sure it remains greyed out unless certain criteria are met
