My brake pad warning light has been coming on randomly over the last week.
I got the car up on the ramps over the weekend and noticed the sensor cables was as tight as a guitar string, the bracket that they clip in to seems bent to make the cables reach. I'll double check the receipts but I think it was halfords that changed the pads last. Before I contact them I want to make sure what I'm seeing is right or wrong. Is anyone able to get a picture or confirm the correct routing, length and shape of the bracket at the back of the callipers please?

Spoke to Audi and they seem happyish to right a report explaining what is wrong with the front brake pad sensor and anything else, if there is.
The tension on the sensor cables makes me think there is. I checked the receipts and it looks like the front pads and discs was replaced by Halfords in August last year. I'm not sure if I'll have a leg to stand on trying to get them to correct the issue or even if its worth for the price of two new sensors and 30mins of work.

Got the car on the ramp over the weekend and got some pictures of the cables and brackets.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The light has been good recently but the MOT is due in december and if I leave it knowing my luck it will come on at the station. It looks like I'll need to get some new brackets and correct length cables. Unless someone can confirm that what I got is correct?
