Clock & date LCD Repair?

I'm getting really sick and tired of my clock/date LCD panel fading out when it's hot outside. And as far as i have seen ether A4 or A6 share this problem with the A8 D2's. So i was wondering if it's possible to replace the A8 LCD panel with a A4/A6 LCD?
