Default Fitting a straight pipe (3.7 V8)

Hi all,

I'm looking into increasing the sound from my A8, so would removing the centre silencers and fitting a straight through pipe achieve this? The V8 burble I've got at the moment is just a bit too sedate!

Removing the rear silencers would make it too loud I think.

And am I also correct in assuming it will still pass an MOT as long as the cats aren't removed?

Thanks
