I tried fitting my A4 B5 key internals in to the shell of a newer curved key and ended up spending a day cutting, modding, editing the tracks and relocating buttons on the board to get it to fit.
I got it to fit and semi work in the end but it was a mess.
The newer keyless, chrome keys are lovely.
They seem cheap enough on ebay but you need to find a friendly keycoder who's happy to have a play trying to get it coded.
