I've no idea how, but the screw (I'm assuming it is a screw but it may not be!) that holds down the end of the rubber "tail" on the filler cap has gone AWOL from my car.
Does anyone know what sort of fixing it is, how long, diameter, thread, material, grommets/washers etc.. etc. ? As it seems to go through a soft rubber surround it's not even obvious precisely what direction it would go. I guess a close-up photo of a correctly-sited one would be useful if anyone has the time to do that and post here.

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!
