Thanks for the replies gents, makes sense now.
I haven't experienced any loss of power or disabled cruise control though! So if I'm looking at the MAF's or TB's is there any logging I can do or tests I can perform to isolate the part at fault? I can clear the fault codes but they return so does it require any type of dealer reset that my full copy of VCDS cannot do? Reset the throttle bodies if that'll help.
