Hi ladies and gents!
I have ordered an ME7.1 S8 ECU for my 2000 B5 A4 Quattro, into which I have installed the 4.2 V8 40V (BFM) from my 2005 D3 A8 Quattro. http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=11537 I can have the immobiliser defeated, and the car will run just fine. However, this will give me an error code in my cluster, meaning I will not be able to perform any soft coding - fuel gauge, rev counter etc. I also intend to install my 2003 C5 RS6 cluster. The option I have here is to code my keys to the replacement ECU. This will make my immobiliser work the way it should, and not log any DTC's in my cluster. Can anyone in or around the Swindon area (quite a few on here) with VCDS help me with this? Naturally, I will pay for your time and the work. I want to get this wrapped up, so I can move onto the next stage, and car. I have another V8 engine waiting, this time a 32V AHC motor from a 1998 S8. I would appreciate help from a VCDS-wielding member. Thank you in advance. ![]()
