Stone chips - don't you just hate them
![]() A few weeks back, a massive stone hit my windscreen and left a mark the size of a 5p piece. Got on the phone to Autowindscreen (or whatever they are called) who came out last week to repair it. Part of the talk involved him telling me tht it can cause the windscreen to crack (I had my Focus screen done a few years back with no issue so signed the paperwork) and he said it will take about 15 to 20 minutes. 10 minutes later, my phone rings asking me to come out ![]() Well, they have to insert a probe before applying the resin and when he inserted the probe (in the windscreen you sicko's) a small chink of glass came out - if the hole is greater than 5 millimetres he can not continue and it was bang on 5 so a new windscreen has to be fitted - gutted ![]() Over 15 years of never making a claim (at least I have protected no claims)
