Ceramic Brakes disc removal

Are there any differences between removing ceramic rear discs as opposed to steel ones? My backing plate has corroded at the fixing points and come adrift. I will order a replacement (unless anyone has a spare!) but want to make sure before I pull it apart. Thanks
