In our lane waiting to disembark the p&o Calais ferry. The lane to our right has emptied except for the last vehicle, a camper van. He's in some sort of hurry and is doing 20mph plus and is ignoring the deck steward's waves and shouts to stop. He flinches by one of the ship's ribs as his mirror approaches and scrapes along the side of our barge. Goodbye door mirror and mech, gouge along door and wing, gouge across alloy wheel and he finally realises what he is doing when he comes to a halt with his rear full width tow bracket in front of my wheel and the bumper pulled off and all the washer fluid on the deck. With a car of this age, he's written it off. It now seems his insurance is some sort of trader insurance, and as of today he has not reported it. Did he rent it and can't drive it? Is it even his?
