going in to the energy manager in vagcom you have a drop down for the battery, select it and then you can change the type of battery and the battery serial number.
when you change the serial number the car believes you have a new battery and resets the batt meter. works as long as you dont really have a duff battery which would then trigger of the issue almost immediately
