Don't think its pads ,the pad alarm is a yellow one a circle with what appears to be dotted pads to each side, I did have a quick look at the pads and they appear to have lots of meat left.
It was too cold to play with the brake fluid sensor wire tonight ,I will have a play with a multimeter in the morning ( as long as it don't snow ) I will let you know how I get on
