random events

well, I've owned this car 6 months now and from day 1 the reversing sensor never worked..........

till yesterday!!!!

all of a sudden it starts beeping its merry little head off as I get closer to a bollard. I must say its 'close'. When it finally goes continuous I have about 1" from teh tow bar to whatever!


so why do we reckon its started working now. could it be that I ordered a VAG COM cable from A8Parts and would be able to tell which sensor was broken?
