Default Upgrading from Concert cassette to RNS-D

Evening all,

Just looking for a bit of top-line advice. If you can help me get started I'll be able to find the detail myself.

I've got a FL 2000 Bose Concert single DIN cassette unit in the car which has stopped working. It only goes off or very quiet. From reading up on the problem, I believe I've reached my 10,000 twiddles of the knob and the EPROM chip is no longer writeable. Anyway, that's a good excuse to upgrade as I've always wanted to do that.

The two options I've got available for me to buy (from a8 parts) are:
4D0035192E
or
4D0035192K

What do I need? I know that I need (and can get)

Double DIN cage
Double DIN fascia surround
GPS unit

What extra cabling / connectors will I need? Will this be plug-and-play to any decent extent?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

Gregor

2009 A8 4.2 FSi LWB - Marine Blue - 164k miles. Extras? Too many to list. But I do like the Rear Seat Entertainment . . . . . .

477k miles to the moon and back. 238k to go and between them they'll have made it!
