The gps based devices are good enough - being warned about popular sites for vans to park up is as beneficial as anything. Any that detect a genuine police laser will just be informing you they've already clocked you! Most just report false positives

Thats what i read. May have even read a case about someone getting done for justifying it was for his garage door or something, memory is hazy..
