It has a rubber cover that bumps into the charger hole. But it's only rated to 15A by the looks of things so maybe not suitable either
Yeah its a shame that its not rated to 25 amp

Its 12v on the part, it has eyelets for battery connection

The voltage relates more to the external insulation rating, the current capacity is about the conductors/contacts and resistance.

In any case your 25A charger will probably only push 1-2A when charging, less if the battery is already fully charged. The 25A will likely only be in a "supply" mode, check the manual to be sure but I can't see it being a limiting factor on using a tow hook to keep it topped up.

Yes the battery may only pull a few amps when it has a state of charge higher than flat but its not a good idea to build something on the principle, one day it might need the full 25amps and then there would be problems.

I have trawled the net this evening and not really found anything that I like yet other than stuff on alibaba that has min order restrictions.

I shall continue on my search.

What about a 110v socket? High IP rating if it's to be hidden under the rear bumper.

Socket in the fuel flap?

No wait!!

Bumper is the best place but it will get covered in crap.

He bumper is the best place I think.
There is already a hole directly behind the bumper near the battery.

Be ok if it was a diesel.

Your tow socket idea was possibly the best but if my socket was anything to go by, it's going to get wet.

be aware that you need something rated at 25A 12V DC, the connector you listed here is 25A @ 240VAC and would be I suspect massively under-rated. The same goes for the suggestion of any mains connector - whatever you do make sure it is properly fused
