...and the answer is that they wont as the "warranty" is not transferable (previous owner was the Laird) and also they didnt give a lifetime warranty as the cats were made of Grade 409 (i.e. normal "muffler" grade) steel which fairs badly with salty roads - like in Scotland
 . So its a possible repair to get it through the MoT and no guarantees of life, or replacement which, if i choose the same establishment will be with Grade 409, non warranty material. Time to look elsewhere! I hope to get this done before I have to pay another MoT fee. (10 working days from MoT failure).

Try these guys in Hillington. Not sure if they do cats but their stainless steel exhausts are amazing.
Ask for Cameron and tell him I gave you his number  EDIT... just had a look on their website and they do cats

Trouble is that I will probably now feel that I want the whole exhaust done when I take it in!!
Just about to go and collect the car (courtesy of BrianG who is acting as my taxi at the mo ) Just waiting to hear the rumble of his RS6 outside my door now.He has just turned up in his Fiat Stylo .......
