Indeed. I think he's natural in front of the camera, and really loves his cars.

Yes. I found it really interesting and I love Bernies irreverence.

It was a tad surreal, and at times candid but also verging on predictable and indulgent I thought.

The Bernie interview had little interest to me, his opinions are now irrelevant, he doesn't run the sport anymore, thank the lord

Agreed I'd recorded it so I was able to skip that bit.

It was quite odd really and I don't think it added any content to the show. It's not like Bernie was saying anything new.

On another note, is it just me or did they not make any mention of missing a week due to the golf? Usually they make a comment that they won't be on the following week.

I watched the Bernie interview, short and pointless? As Pete-p said, nothing new either.

Last show in this series they said.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant.
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

I agree with comments from all, a highly edited and pointless element of the show, very self serving for Bernie but what else should we expect.

I note in the press that praise for Matt Le Blanc is high and I agree, I think the trio really work well together.

As an aside, I overtook Jeremy Clarkson on the M4 last week.
At first I didn't notice it was him, I'd slowed to look at a brand new, orange, Audi TT RS and he was driving. He looked over and me and I think he liked the S8! He was behind me for ages and then peeled off for the A34 at Newbury. Hello JC if you're reading this!
